After the Downieville weekend, I headed east and have been hanging out in Boulder for about a week now. Here are some pics from yesterday's road ride. a 70 mile loop from Boulder, north to Lyons, up the South Saint Vrain highway to Raymond. Then south along the peak-to-peak highway, to Nederland, cresting a bit over 9000 feet elevation in spots. Then turning east and heading back down into Boulder.

Heading up St Vrain. Even with the creek by the side of the road, it was pretty hot until I got up above 7000 feet elevation.

Two hours into the ride, I arrived in Raymond. Just in time. I was out of water.

Wandered into the store and the old man inside had the tour playing on the television.

Looking west from the Peak-to-Peak highway. That ridgeline in the distance is on the Continental Divide.

Looking across Barker Reservior back to Nederland, just before begining the descent back to Boulder.

Obligatory Sycip bike photo.
Planning on hitting up a local short track race in town Wednesday evening before getting back on the road.
